5 Best Drinks to Get on Siesta Key

Tourists young and old are always searching for destinations like Siesta Key, where local culture blends seamlessly with a tropical paradise. There are many great bars and clubs and other Siesta Key nightlife destinations to choose from while you vacation here.

Our island nightlife spots offer some of the Sarasota area’s best live music, drinking games, and dancing with plenty of unique cocktails and specialty drinks that you must try before the night ends.

Deck Diesel at the Daiquiri Deck

As one of the most famous nightlife destinations in Siesta Key, the Daiquiri Deck offers a tropical paradise theme with a fun and casual atmosphere. The drinks served match the paradise theme – this bar is known for their slushies infused with grain alcohol, and their frozen daiquiris.

One drink you can’t leave without trying is their signature drink, the Deck Diesel. The Deck Diesel contains grain alcohol, a vodka mixture, diesel fuel grain alcohol, and an orange. It’s definitely strong so pace yourself!

Liquid Marijuana Cocktails at the Beach Club

Because it is one of the only late-night bars near Siesta Beach, the Beach Club stays filled into the evening, making it a prime spot to experience the Siesta Key nightlife.

During the daily Happy Hour, you can try one of their house wines for only $4. Sundays offer you their Liquid Marijuana Cocktails (Captain Morgan spiced rum, Blue Curacao liqueur, Malibu coconut rum, Midori melon liqueur, pineapple juice and a splash of sweet and sour mix), along with a souvenir cup.

If you would rather take your party down further on the beach, the Beach Club also serves as a store where you can purchase vodka or six-packs.

Perfectly Proportioned Mojitos at Siesta Key Oyster Bar

Try a New Take on the Island Mojito

Whether or not you are a fan of oysters, Siesta Key Oyster Bar (or S.K.O.B. as said by the locals) is a favorite bar because of its social atmosphere, both inside and on the deck. You can often enjoy live music as you wash oysters down with a cold beer.

Many locals and tourists also enjoy S.K.O.B.’s perfectly proportioned mojitos, a signature drink that you’re sure to love.

Sunset Siesta at Gilligan’s Island Bar and Grill

If you are stopping by Gilligan’s Island bar and grill for some beach eats, don’t miss the chance to try one of their tiki-inspired cocktails. This beach bar has a patio, complete with a fire pit and stage for live music, to encourage non-stop partying.

Enjoy one of their suggested house cocktails such as The Shipwreck (a mixture of Captain Morgan Black, Captain Morgan Coconut, rum, with cranberry, pineapple, and orange juices). The Siesta Sunset is another customer favorite, which deliciously contains Parrot Bay Mango Rum, mango purée, orange juice, and a small splash of cranberry juice.

Customers are invited to enjoy their drink while they earn prizes with a game of corn hole or beer pong.

Prickly Pear Cactus Rita at The Hub Baja Grill

The Hub Baja Grill is a popular Siesta Key nightlife spot among locals and travelers. The margaritas are strong here along with delicious burgers and other menu items.

Stop by for great drink discounts throughout the day because happy hour is almost all day long – from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and again from 10 p.m. until closing time, Monday to Friday.

This is one of the cheapest spots to find drink while visiting Siesta Key with their frequent specials. You’ll find a special section on their menu for margaritas, with several signature and unique options, including the Prickly Pear Cactus Rita and Mango Passion Rita.
