Siesta Key Beach Parking

Whether visiting Siesta Key on a family vacation or a solo trip, you’ll very likely want to spend several of your days enjoying the scenic white sand beaches. You’ll find plenty to do on the beaches once you arrive, whether you plan on tanning, swimming, hunting for shells, or simply laying back and watching the waves crash in.

Siesta Key is filled with numerous public beaches and access points for your convenience, and although several of the beaches have suitable parking, there are a few that do not.

Here we will provide you with more information about Siesta Key beach parking including details about lot sizes and accessibility based on whichever beach that you may want to visit.

Siesta Key Public Beach

Siesta Key Public Beach at 948 Beach Rd offers extensive parking with over 900 spots and a convenient location near Siesta Village and many other top attractions on the island. During the summer and other busy months, you may have a difficult time finding a parking spot after the early morning, so try to arrive earlier in the day. If the parking lot is totally full, you can simply drive to a nearby beach access point which should have additional parking.

Crescent Beach

Crescent Beach is located directly south of Siesta Beach, and this beach lacks parking space, however it is one of the most scenic beaches on the island and well worth the visit. It is easy to park at Siesta Key Public Beach and walk down to Crescent Beach. The walk is a little over one mile in length, and you can choose to walk it from Siesta Beach or drive to it from Midnight Pass Road.

Turtle Beach

Turtle Beach is the perfect place for shelling because its darker sand carries more shells. This beach is located near the southern end of Siesta Key, and it has excellent facilities as well as a few unique restaurants nearby. Turtle Beach is located at 9409 Midnight Pass Rd and here you can find about 200 parking spaces. Try to arrive early at Turtle Beach if it happens to be a busier time of year, however you can expect there to be more spots available here than Siesta Beach.

Siesta Key Beach Accesses

There are over a dozen Siesta Key beach access points located throughout the island, with many of them near Siesta Beach. These accesses often have parking lots, and you can view more information about them by visiting the Tropical Breeze website.

Parking lot capacity will vary from a few spots up to around 25 spaces or more, and you can find more information about the specific number directly on the website along with other details about each beach such as facilities, lifeguards and swimming regulations.

Taking a taxi, bus or Uber to the beach in Siesta Key

Taxis or Uber services are two of the best options to consider for transportation in Siesta Key, and both are affordable no matter where you plan on traveling to on the island. Going from your vacation rental to the beach doesn’t take much time at all in an Uber or a taxi, and the cost is reasonable as well. You won’t have to deal with any parking issues when using a taxi or Uber as well which can be a major advantage during the summer and other busy seasons. Siesta Key also offers excellent bus service throughout the island, and many of the island’s locals and visitors take the bus rather than dealing with the hassles of parking.

Walking to the beach

Siesta Key is not a very large island at all, and that means that most beach access points are very reachable if you prefer walking. If you’re staying anywhere near Siesta Village, it is easy to walk to most of the access points listed on the Sarasota County website. The early morning is a great time to walk to the beach, with minimal traffic throughout the island and incredible ocean sunrises to view. Most vacation rentals are also located near at least one beach access point.
