Perfect Activities For Kids

The Children’s Easter Party and Egg Hunt is an event that children on Siesta Key look forward to year after year. Kids from 1 to 6-years-old can come and enjoy games, prizes, treat bags, face painting and more.

During the egg hunt, kids can run around and find as many colorful and hidden eggs as they can. The best part is that all the eggs collected have a special prize inside.

Children are separated into age groups and are allowed to start their hunt for eggs accordingly. 2-years-old and younger will start at 10:00 a.m., children 3 to 4-years-old begin at 10:30 a.m., and those who are 5 to 6-years-old will start at 11:00 a.m. Make sure to bring a basket or other container to carry your eggs in.

Children will also have the opportunity to see fire trucks and tour ambulances that will be on site for the party too. A mounted Sheriff’s Patrol will also make an appearance. And of course, the Easter Bunny himself is planning to stop by. Children will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny and even get a picture taken. Every child who comes to the event will also go home with a bag filled with lots of fun surprises.

Beginning of the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sista Key

This will be the 18th annual Easter Egg Hunt and Party in Siesta Key. The party was relocated from Beach Access #5 to Turtle Beach in 2017.

The Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce organizes the event, and when the move happened, the executive director touted the Turtle Beach location as family friendly and much larger than the previous spot. That’s because this even continues to grow bigger and bigger year after year.

Traditionally, nearly 200 children will attend the Easter egg hunt. Over the years, more and more local groups have joined in on the fun. This includes the Girl Scouts (a great time to order some cookies), and Mote Marine’s mobile laboratory—an exhibit that travels the area teaching children about aquatic life. The display allows children to interact with sea life displays and even touch some of the creatures.
