Siesta Key Pet-Friendly Restaurants

It can be hard to take a break from your furry family member for a vacation, and it can be difficult to find a quality dog-sitter or kennel. You don’t have to worry about that when you choose one of our pet-friendly vacation rentals on Siesta Key and bring Fido along.

Siesta Key accommodates your entire family, and the locals here have developed some lovely little restaurants that are welcoming for well-behaved vacationing dogs.

We recommend the below Siesta Key restaurants to take your dog so he or she can enjoy the ambiance and socialize with the family.

They offer big views, comfortable patios, and great eats. Your pup can feel part of the whole group and get a taste of some of Siesta’s Key’s finest foods.

The Cottage

The Cottage has a rustic outdoor patio that is a perfect place to bring the pup to. Sip on a watermelon margarita with the beach-themed décor around you. Delicately spoonful lobster bisque in the heart of Siesta Key’s artistic downtown.

The décor adds to the relaxation, with plants lining the outdoor patio. The space is quiet and small, giving you some peace and quiet as you enjoy a plate full of ahi tuna tacos, some delicious seafood appetizers, fried grouper, ceviche, and more.

You can round out an exquisite pet friendly Siesta Key vacation with a stop at The Cottage. It is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with an extended few hours to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

3.14 Pi Craft and Spirits

Cocktails, crafts, and some pizza create the best combination. Add an outdoor bar patio space for dogs and people alike, and the energy in the place lights up. Your pup will feel more than comfortable hanging out amongst the large tables and people.

3.14 Pi is one of the most popular places to grab some Siesta key and Sarasota craft beers from some of the top local micro breweries.

It is open from noon to 2 a.m. every night. Expect lively energy, a wide list of pizza concoctions, and some delicious crafts you can’t get elsewhere. Just one visit here simply isn’t enough.

Sun Garden Café

In some ways, Sun Garden Café is the complete opposite of 3.14 Pi Crafts and Spirits. What 3.14 Pi had in big late-night energy, Sun Garden Café has in calming relaxation. The cozy outdoor space is the ideal lazy dog day afternoon hangout.

About 15 tables are lined up in the garden patio, spaced out enough so you can receive a bit of welcoming privacy. The menu includes sweet potato pancakes, Cajun Eggs Benedict, and the local favorite, the A.M. Cobbler. Also check out the peculiar favorites, such as the guacamole salad sandwiches and the Andys Way flower child jalapeño sandwich.

The location is a special treat in Siesta Key. Appreciate the sights and sounds of the quieter side of Siesta Key’s afternoons with your pup in tow. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Another Broken Egg

This local favorite is the big sister of the Sun Garden Café. Both offer spectacular breakfasts, wide-open patio spaces, and, perhaps most importantly, wonderful places for the pup and you to lounge out.

Like Sun Garden Café, Another Broken Egg some much-adored local treats, including Cinnamon rolls, the cream cheese and chorizo bacon-stuffed Bacoqueso Omelette, and some old-fashioned biscuits and gravy.

The café is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Of course, dogs are more than welcome in the patio space, with a nice overhang to protect from that afternoon Florida sun.

Complement the above pet-friendly restaurants with our selection of pet friendly vacation rentals. Make sure your dog is welcomed everywhere you go. Our properties are fitted with top amenities and features, so you can get everything out of a Siesta Key adventure away.

You don’t want to leave your dog back in the rental, or at home in a kennel, in an unfamiliar new space.

With the fine restaurants above, your family pup can happily hit the patios and stay with the group, giving you the chance for some refreshments before enjoying other pet-friendly attractions and parks in the area.
